# Can we control when employees' Set & Spend amounts become available?

**Yes.**

**With Aslan, you’re in control.**

As the employer, you set the rules for when Set & Spend balances unlock.

- Choose whether employees can access part of their pay **3 days early, 1 day early, or as soon as cutoff hits**.
- For non-salaried staff, you can configure balances to be available **instantly after you approve earnings**.
- Once set, the system enforces your rules automatically, so employees only ever access what you’ve approved.
