How to download your payroll report

At your payroll cut-off, Aslan finalises everything your employees have used during the pay cycle into a single deduction per employee. As soon as the report is ready, every company admin receives an email notification, so you never need to chase it.

1. When you receive the "payroll report ready" email, log in to the Aslan client portal at https://portal.aslan.io.
2. From the left-hand navigation, select Reports.
3. Choose Payroll report from the report type options.
4. If you run multiple pay calendars, select the correct report for the payroll you are processing.
5. Download the .csv file.
6. Upload the file directly into your payroll software, or pass it to your payroll provider.
7. Deduct the amount shown from each employee's net pay. There is no impact on Tax or National Insurance.

By default, the report contains just two columns:

• Unique ID. The employee's payroll ID, matching your payroll system
• Deduction amount. The total to deduct from that employee's pay this cycle

Keeping the file this simple means it can be imported with no manual rework.

We can tailor the report to your payroll software. If your system needs a specific layout or additional columns, we set up a mapping once and every future report is generated in that format automatically. Contact your account manager to arrange this.

• The report can include net additions. A net addition comes in as a negative. If the report shows unexpected activity or a deduction looks wrong, contact Aslan support before processing. Do not ignore discrepancies.
• The report is per pay calendar. If you run more than one payroll, make sure you download and process the report for each one.
